    Car was totally restored to a high class in 2010/2011. The best two stroke car I've had to date by a mile. 1990 Trabant 601 Kombi. One of the very last to roll of the production line. Spent its life life in Hungary until 2009.
    I bought the car from an aircraft engineer who worked at Gatwick airport in London. He had bought it from his Hungarian Father in law. The car was restored to a very high standard over 2010/2011 and treated to 5 coats of 2k paint.
    Since I've had it, I've treated the underneath of the car to rustproofing, fitted new carpets all round, upgraded the plugs to Iridium ones, renewed the plug leads, replaced fan belt and fitted side indicators and rear seat belts.
    I plan a summer trip next year in the car, Ireland to France (Cherbourg) then onto Zwickau for the Trabant Treffen and back. Will stop off at Buchenwald on the way and probably head to Terezin in the Czech Republic from Zwickau. The whole trip will probably cover 2500 miles.
    The car, whilst not used every day is driven every week and could be used daily with no concerns.
