    Hi,

I am now getting around to tidying up my 601. It seems to have the'classic' rust spots.

I am happy to go ahead with the battery tray area and inner wings which are metal, but was wondering if anyone has experiece of cleaning up the areas around the rear windows where the frame metal has rusted through.

Has anyone cleaned it up and then used ordinary filler or should I but the duroplast filler for sale in Germany?

As a newbie I would be very grateful for any help.

    Thanks in anticipation

    Jamie

You'll have to put up some pics Jamie...

There is no Duroplast on the rear window frames, it would need standard metalwork repairs? Mine had rusted (not badly) around the vents in the C-pillar, I just rubbed down, primed and painted. If you've got holes, it'll be a visit to the welders I would have thought.

    Cheers then, Ron.

You might have to remove rear wings before cutting and welding, when you do be prepared for lots of rust/rot hidden by the wings
