So i have been loking for a place of my own since i am running out of space at my parents house. (3 cars, a tractor, two trailers, a moped and a ton of other stuff) and today i bought this house with an old workshop. :)

the house itself is in not so good condition, but some paint and new windows will help a lot. the garage is great on the other hand. The guy retired and closed his business in the late 90´ies and havent touched it since. it is all there as if the mechanics left last friday. :)

Comes complete with 475squaremeters with one 4 point lift, two single piont lift, brake testing, grave, wheel alignment system, lathe, paintboot, and i could go on forever... :)
all tools are still on the wall and marked with their correct positions, and there is stil car parts in storage for whatever they were working on back then. (some of it was ford escort/cortina), so now we just have to get the last paperwork in place, and i can start moving in in the new year. :)

Congrats! Welcome to the joys of home ownership! Looks like a nice house and garage to me. It's got a metal roof instead of asphalt shingles so you shouldn't have to worry about that for 50 years. I'd love to have a lift or even a grease pit in my garage.

But just wait until you get married. Everything may look OK to you but then your wife will want you to repaint every room in the house and do some remodeling. And if you have mismatched appliances (that are different colors but work just fine), expect to buy new ones!

People taunted me that I lived with my parents until I was 29. Over here it seems your supposed to move out of your parent's house once you turn 18 or finish college. Long story as to why I chose to live with my parents "7 more years" even after I got a descent paying job at age 22 and could afford mine own place. But basically I waited so I could save enough money to where I get could get a good start on something descent and build my dream garage. Instead of having to settle for a one bedroom apartment in the ghetto. Now I have the last laugh because my house and garage are both paid off.

I had a one car garage in my dad's barn so I could work on stuff instead of out in the cold but Dad had a limit on how many cars I could own so I dreamed that one day when I got a house I'd build a big garage and fill it with as many cars I could fit in it. So my garage is pretty much the same size as my house.

I like the MTD "Turbo" lawnmower. I was going to say I don't see any grass around your house but I see the grass lot behind the garage.
