    The lettering looks like decals rather than stamped using a press.

    I have had original DDR plates and have seen them both stamped in, and with sticker decals...I think the newer plates were actually stickers.

    eventually I'll move from TX and if/when that happens...and if I win this auction....those would be the plates I register wherever I end up

    Laws vary from state to state but I asked the local DMV if I could register my German plate and they said no. It had to be a vintage Tennessee plate. I heard it had to match the same year as the car.

    I can have the German plate bolted to the rear of the car but the antique plate has to be visable, like stuck in the rear window or attached to the rear bumper.

    I would just register the number and if i got pulled over, I'd say...that is my tag number....same as I would do on my current plates.
