  2. I have received a lot of messages asking about the future of the forums once my car sells. Well today it sold and will soon be on its way to its new home. With that said, for the forums, there is more information under 'Announcements" titled "Future of the Forums' you could also copy and paste this link: http://www.trabantforums.com/threads/future-of-the-forums-donations.1762/

What is the German name for the Kombi parcel shelf. I have one parts book but it does not show this part. It only shows the lower hinged deck/shelf.

I have never seen one on 601s or deluxe, are you sure it exists? All my combi ones have only come with the upholstered one that goes about 6-7" from the bottom of the cargo area

Parcel shelf is "Hutablage" but I don't think that has anything to do with a Kombi . . .

It's the cover (wood frame with pressed fabric covering) that goes between the back door and the rear seat, up top. It rests on two rails, one under each side window, in the Kombi. It is removable for larger cargoes.[IMG]

That's the one in the photo. Many thanks for the name. When i advertise it, it will be easier for the German or other European owners to know what it is.
It rest on brackets bolted below the side windows.

    Thanks again.

You're welcome! It's also known as die Kofferraumabdeckung.

I find them very useful to cover over whatever's in the cargo area and to, well, place hats and caps on it.

Thank you all. Google translate is ok for some things but not for everything.
