  2. I have received a lot of messages asking about the future of the forums once my car sells. Well today it sold and will soon be on its way to its new home. With that said, for the forums, there is more information under 'Announcements" titled "Future of the Forums' you could also copy and paste this link: http://www.trabantforums.com/threads/future-of-the-forums-donations.1762/

Released in 1949, the IFA F9 was basically DKW's pre-war F9. It is identical with the surviving prototype and featured the 3=6 900 cc engine. DKW in the west was simultaneously marketing the F89 which was powered by the pre-war two cylinder 2=4 700 cc engine. IFA exported to other Communist Bloc countries, Finland and even tried to market the F9 in the UK (will post up a British car magazine review shortly).

Here is a link to a 1955 road test from a Finnish car magazine posted on Two Stoke Cars blog.http://wartburg353knight.blogspot.com/2011/04/ifa-f9-road-test-from-1955.html
