It's a long shot, but after owning three 601's, I'd really like to find a 1.1 sedan (not kombi). Does anyone have any leads?

    Thanks, Richard

Cheaper to buy a good one in Germany and have it shipped here.

I did that with my blue 601, and will if I must, but finding one in the US would be much easier.

I don't know what state you live in but I had to pass on two Trabbis back in 2012, one was a 1.1 and the other one was a 601. It had not yet met the 30 year age requirement in Tennessee or Florida. So I had to settle on a 1981 model.

I think in some states the car can be as young as 25 years.

If I had to do it all over again, I would have just used earlier VINs. The guy wanted $2500 each for two 1991 models in really good condition. From my understanding he was able to sell one to a guy in Canada and the other one was sold to a movie company here in the US.
