Post your pictures in this thread.
Here are some to choose from:
These are low-resolution (640x480 or 720x480). I have higher-resolution versions if you prefer.
Best wishes, Colin
That's a great shot with Budapest in the background. Gotta go back to Hungary again....
Here some of my pictures
That's a beautiful kombi. Where is the bridge with the little tower on it?
@ paulymx Thanx, the bridge is Sneek (Netherlands)http://www.gemeentesudwestfryslan.nl/
Something Justin forgot to mention was the dimensions. If you could, please crop the photos to 950x250 pixels. This keeps all the photos the same size and makes the banner look nicer. Thanks!
Tried making some banners, the resolution was not entirely sufficient on all of them, but I guess people get the gist.
The black and white one is quite arty.
This is still ongoing and has not been forgot about.
OK, So almost all of the pictures have been uploaded to our Facebook page! If you don't follow us there already, please do so and feel free to comment under you picture(s) (if you submitted one) and put whatever information you feel is pertinent , I can go in and add it to the permanent picture tag, but it would be helpful! Thank you for all the pictures!
Feel free to keep submitting them, as you can see, we have already used a few for banner pictures and there will be more to come!
hi justin iam happy for you to use my pics from the USSR yahoo group, mines is on the first page of photos section under Dom's trabi doris, didnt went to e-mail them to you incase u didnt want to use them.
I figured out how to get to them. I will use a few of them as soon as I get them downloaded.
At the very least, look for them on the TrabantForums.com FaceBook Page at some point today. I have an album there when I am putting a lot of the pictures too.
That is awesome! I love the Barkas! I actually think it is better looking than the VW Bus
I'm willing to bet this is the first time ever that a Trabi have been parked in the outer courtyard of the Royal Palace in Stockholm.
Working for the Royal Court has it's perks...
That is a good picture! I would love to visit Stockholm....never made my way up there. Furthest North in Europe I have been in Amsterdam, Netherlands
Parking a fine socialist car in front of a Royal Palace!
Here's my stab at offending the Bourgeois by taking advantage of my employers....
A good introduction to this foto goes kinda like this:
This.... is a $350,000 Lexus LFA Luxury Supercar made of the finest materials by fanatical Japanese Engineers who spared no expense in its production....
THAT.... is what happens when you leave it unattended for 5 minutes! Some commie parks her crummy cardboard car next to it and puts the pictures on the Internet!
If it's mechanically possible, BOTH cars were insulted by each other's presence! The Trabi was sputtering "Hey Boooshwah" with a cold motor while the LFA was just looking all haughty and hoity-toity.
With money as no object, I'd still take the Trabi...
Justin, Thanks! Stockholm is a beatiful city, albeit a bit lacking in IFA-vehicles (I think I'm the only Trabi-owner in town, actually!).
The irony is not lost on me...
And as for your picture: between those two cars, your Trabi is without a doubt the coolest and best-looking vehicle.
If given a choice between the two vehicles, the only reason I would pick the Lexus is so that I could sell it and buy more Trabis (or perhaps a Barkas...).
Since I have a thing for making unholy combinations...
I give you a Trabant driven by a Carolinean soldier of the early 18th century. What if King Karl XII had a ride like this at Poltava...?!
Incidentally, this is also the first image of myself I post at this forum.
